Untuk itu, ia menggunakan modul PV untuk menukarkan cahaya matahari kepada elektrik. Tenaga suria ini akan berterusan selagi matahari terus bersinar dalam sistem suria kita, iaitu selama 5 bilion tahun lagi.<\/p>\n<p>Potensi tenaga suria adalah sangat besar kerana kira-kira 200,000 kali ganda kapasiti penjanaan elektrik harian dunia diterima oleh bumi dalam bentuk tenaga suria. Secara ringkas, jumlah cahaya matahari yang menyinari permukaan bumi dalam satu setengah jam sudah mencukupi untuk menampung keseluruhan penggunaan tenaga di bumi selama setahun.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Untuk mengetahui berapa jam sinar matahari yang diperlukan untuk menyalakan lampu jalan solar 100W dengan penarafan tertentu, kita perlu mempunyai maklumat berikut:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Saiz dan penarafan panel solar<\/li>\n<li>Jam puncak solar tersedia di lokasi tersebut<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Mari kita ketahui berapa jam cahaya matahari diperlukan dalam sehari untuk menyalakan lampu jalan solar 100W sekurang-kurangnya 8 jam.<\/p>\n<p>Untuk membekalkan 100 W selama 8 jam, kita memerlukan 800 watt-jam kuasa.<\/p>\n<p>Sekarang tentukan berapa jam matahari akan tersedia dalam sehari dan berapa banyak tenaga yang akan dihasilkan oleh panel solar dalam sehari. Satu jam puncak matahari tidak hanya merujuk kepada satu jam matahari berada di langit. Sebenarnya, ia merujuk kepada satu jam di mana panel solar menghasilkan sejumlah tenaga tertentu.<\/p>\n<p>Setiap waktu puncak ditakrifkan sebagai satu jam apabila intensiti cahaya matahari mencapai purata 1000 watt tenaga setiap meter persegi (<strong>satu jam puncak cahaya matahari=1000 W\/m2<\/strong>). Untuk lokasi yang menerima sejumlah <strong>4000 W\/m2 sinaran matahari<\/strong> Sepanjang hari, maka lokasi itu mendapat <strong>4 jam puncak matahari setiap hari<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Dengan menganggap bahawa kita <strong>menggunakan panel solar berkapasiti 300 watt<\/strong>. Kuasa yang dihasilkan oleh <strong>Panel solar 300 watt selama 4 jam akan menghasilkan 300W x 4 jam matahari = 1200 watt-jam dalam sehari.<\/strong> Mengira kerugian yang mungkin berlaku, seperti penurunan voltan, wayar, habuk, salji dan sebagainya.
