Para ello utiliza m\u00f3dulos fotovoltaicos para convertir la luz solar en electricidad. Esta energ\u00eda solar continuar\u00e1 mientras tengamos sol brillando en nuestro sistema solar, lo cual tardar\u00e1 otros 5 mil millones de a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<p>El potencial de la energ\u00eda solar es enorme, ya que la Tierra recibe en forma de energ\u00eda solar unas 200.000 veces la capacidad de generaci\u00f3n el\u00e9ctrica diaria del mundo. En resumen, la cantidad de luz solar que incide sobre la superficie terrestre en una hora y media es suficiente para alimentar el consumo total de la Tierra durante un a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Para saber cu\u00e1ntas horas de luz solar se necesitar\u00edan para alimentar una farola solar de 100w de una potencia espec\u00edfica, deber\u00edamos tener lo siguiente:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Tama\u00f1o y clasificaci\u00f3n del panel solar<\/li>\n<li>Horas pico solares disponibles en esa ubicaci\u00f3n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Averig\u00fcemos cu\u00e1ntas horas de luz solar se necesitan en un solo d\u00eda para alimentar una farola solar de 100 W durante al menos 8 horas.<\/p>\n<p>Para alimentar los 100 W durante 8 horas, necesitaremos 800 vatios hora de potencia.<\/p>\n<p>Ahora calcula cu\u00e1ntas horas de sol habr\u00e1 disponibles en un solo d\u00eda y cu\u00e1nta energ\u00eda generar\u00e1 el panel solar en un d\u00eda. Una hora pico de sol no incluye solo una hora en la que el sol est\u00e1 en el cielo. De hecho, se refiere a una hora en la que un panel solar produce una determinada cantidad de energ\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>Cada hora pico se define como una hora en la que la intensidad de la luz solar alcanza un promedio de 1000 vatios de energ\u00eda por metro cuadrado (<strong>una hora pico de sol=1000 W\/m2<\/strong>). Para una ubicaci\u00f3n que recibe un total de <strong>4000 W\/m2 de radiaci\u00f3n solar<\/strong> durante todo el d\u00eda, entonces esa ubicaci\u00f3n se vuelve <strong>4 horas pico de sol al d\u00eda<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Suponiendo que somos <strong>usando un panel solar de 300 vatios<\/strong>.
