En caso de una falla b\u00e1sica del aislamiento (una corrupci\u00f3n del cable: como cables rotos, envejecimiento), puede producirse una descarga el\u00e9ctrica o riesgo de incendio. El aislamiento es al menos equivalente al aislamiento reforzado. Una luminaria de este tipo se denomina luminaria de carcasa aislada tipo I.<\/p>\n<p>b) Las l\u00e1mparas con carcasas resistentes totalmente met\u00e1licas cuentan con doble aislamiento interior, excepto aquellas partes en las que obviamente el doble aislamiento no es factible. Estas luminarias se denominan luminarias con carcasa met\u00e1lica del tipo II.<\/p>\n<p>c) Una luminaria que tenga una combinaci\u00f3n de a) yb) anteriores.<\/p>\n<p>d) Las l\u00e1mparas aisladas tipo carcasa n pueden formar parte o la totalidad de un aislamiento suplementario o un aislamiento reforzado.<\/p>\n<p>e) La luminaria a\u00fan se considera una luminaria de Clase II si est\u00e1 conectada a tierra para facilitar el arranque, en lugar de estar conectada directamente a partes met\u00e1licas accesibles.
